Margaret Dewsbury - Hingham

Since joining Norfolk County Council in 2013 I have become Chairman of the Communities Committee and the Arts Forum, Vice-Chairman of the Norwich Western Link Project, served on the A47 Alliance, the Environment, Development and Transport Committee and Children’s Services and Community Learning working groups

I am an experienced councillor having served on South Norfolk Council for twenty-one years and been involved with a variety of local community and voluntary groups, including county organisations such as Norfolk Playingfields Association and the Rural Community Council.  She was Chairman of South Norfolk Council in 2008.

My husband Terry and I can often be seen running children’s games at local fetes to raise funds for local organisations.

I promote the latest grants and help available from the councils to support local people and organisations.  My main aim is to act as advocate for local people and ensure that the county and district councils always act in their best interests.
