I am 30 years old, married with three (soon to be four), children. I work in the city centre but previously worked for seven years worked in adult & children’s social services where I ran an emergency care service, assessed and provided packages of care and developed a service to support teenagers at risk of going into foster or residential care.
At County Hall, I will be a strong advocate for the change we so badly need - but particularly in reforming social care services. Whether it's a bit of help in the home, or a move to residential care, people deserve clear, accurate information from their first letter, call or email.
I am a strong believer in good public services but those services can be provided more efficiently by working together and through smarter working: instead of just cutting services, finding new and collaborative ways for them to be run for the future.
