Conservatives unveil budget amendments focusing on highways and libraries

The Conservative opposition is calling on the alliance to think again about some of the savage cuts to adult social care and children’s services, in particular the removal of the 16-19 Transport Subsidy and cuts to critical preventative services such as Personal Budgets, something which the Conservatives defended during their budget setting.

Emergency fire response to continue as fresh strike dates announced

As two new strike dates are announced by members of the Fire Brigades Union (FBU), Norfolk’s Fire and Rescue Service is reminding residents in the county that the 999 service will continue to operate during the industrial action which takes place tomorrow (Friday 1 November) between 6.30pm and 11.00pm and Monday 4 November between 6.00am and 8.00am.

Brundall set to expect a bumper community boost

Acres of allotments and woodland will soon be springing up in Brundall thanks to a deal between the County Council and Brundall Parish Council which has seen an area of County Farms land to the west of the village signed over for the use of the community.
